Flu Virus Fears & Alternatives
With so much focus on the news about flu viruses and vaccinations, many of us have become fearful. No one wants to "catch" a virus and wind up in bed for a week. Some of us work around many people, or have small school-age children who bring home every germ around. We want and need protection! The question is, do we vaccinate, or build our immune systems so we are not susceptible -- or perhaps both? It is a personal decision that we all need to make after examining some facts.
Unfortunately, the news has not provided much if any information against vaccines. What are the arguments against vaccines? For one, viruses mutate, so there is no guarantee that the viruses you will be exposed to are the ones you had in your vaccine -- you may still catch the flu even with the shot. Another factor is the ingredients in a vaccine -- some very toxic substances, such as mercury, MSG, aluminum, and formaldehyde to name just a few. For a complete list

What about alternatives to vaccines? Herbs, homeopathy, vitamins, lifestyle and massage can reduce susceptibility. Instead of trying to kill the germ, why don't we focus on strengthening the organism? As the great scientist Louis Pasteur said "If I were to do it over again, I would focus on the resistance of the individual.". After all, we don't live in a bubble, separate from all other forms of life. Survival of the fittest says the weak shall perish, so lets get to strengthening ourselves.
Along with diet, exercise, life style and massage, herbs and vitamins have been known to boost the immune system. Some of these include: Astragalus, Elderberry, Echinacea, Olive Leaf and Adaptogenic Herbs. For more information on building your natural immunity click here.
